FREESTYLE BRISTOL

REVIEW: Bristol Harbour Festival

Another weekend, another festival. For the first time since lockdown Bristol’s free festival saw sunshine & crowds descend on the Harbourside for a weekend of music, dance & boats!

It’s been a long time, well actually it’s been three years since we were here as like everything else Covid had wiped this event of the schedules since 2019.

Now it’s back for the hottest weekend of the year so far and judging from the large crowds all over the Centre and the festival site, I was not the only one who missed it.

Highlights of the weekend for me were catching up on new acts I had not seen live before like Dreamz and Nat Oaks as well as Snazzback; proving that this event represents an important showcase for emerging and local artists. A special shout goes out to the Access College crew who had the smallest area but kept it lively all weekend with their DJ’s & MC’s plus hosting a showcase with Born2Be Records.

It was also great to catch up on some of the water-based displays and sample the sights and sounds that make this event so special.

Long may it continue!
