On a packed out Friday night Hip Hop Coffee Shop held their 16th event at Boston Tea Party on Cheltenham Road. The collective, made up of Luke Guest, Ian Avery and Vice Beats, have become known for masterfully blending hip hop and coffee shop elements together, this time around with the very welcome guests, Cheeky Pancakes.

Headliner Holly Flo Lightly gave an impressive performance, and Madlyand Brotherman each graced the stage with attitude and gumption. J Dart smashed his debut Hip Hop Coffee Shop appearance and Mr Fitz expertly hosted the open mic hour for passionate acts from the crowd.

As the night picked up pace, the whole room erupted, filled with people dancing. The atmosphere was at fever pitch and brought to mind an old school block party albeit one that’s indoors. Closing off the night, Vice couldn’t have said it any better: ‘banging hip hop, banging pancakes, banging vibes.’
