As part of their mission also includes plans to support and develop the next generation of British action filmmaking talent, they are offering aspiring young filmmakers in Bristol the chance to pitch action film ideas to them.
This is an opportunity to meet with and share your ideas with some of the biggest names in action film production in the UK. Action Xtreme will also be mentoring some of the selected filmmakers to support you over the next stages of your action filmmaking career.
To apply send them an original proposal for your film and outline elements of it including:
You can present this in written form (max. 400 words) or as a video (max. 3 minutes).
A bit about yourself and your work. This doesn’t need to be long! You can send a link to a showreel, links to past work, images, or anything else that will give a sense of the kind of work you’ve made and don’t worry too much about how much experience you have.
If you are successful you will be contacted to let you know if you’ve been selected to pitch your idea to some of the team on the 18thMarch. To apply please send your proposal and information to film.academy@watershed.co.uk with ‘Action Xtreme at Inside Film Pitch’ in the subject line.

Action Extreme will also be part of a panel discussion as part of the event Inside Film. Whether it’s your favourite genre or a bit of a guilty pleasure, we all love seeing a high-speed chase or slick fight scene. If you love action films but have thought that making your own might be out of reach, this panel will break down how you can start in the genre without needing a blockbuster budget, looking at topics including using easily-accessible kit, bringing diverse voices into the genre and more.
The panel will be hosted by Ti Singh and will include:
