PLAYLISTS: Freestyle Finds #019

Freestyle Finds is a carefully curated a blend of the latest tracks from the internationally known to the Bristol underground. We find the new releases that stood out amongst the pile for us and share them with you.

If you want to give us a heads up on tracks you’re releasing or listening to, let us know at sounds@freestylebristol.com We also welcome suggestions to look out for!

Freestyle Finds #019 is next up in our monthly selection of the newest releases and March was a vintage month.

Diz Dice makes the playlist cover with Pull Up a laid back track for the dance floor which deserves wide circulation. Jungle Journey by Raid lays the vocals of Bristol’s very own Damzel for a tune that is reminiscent of 90’s Goldie or LTJ Bukem. Damzel also appears later down the list on The Breaking Part.

Following on from his recent live show supporting Souls of Mischief, Wish Master took time out to release the banger Lay Low with guest Josiah Hotwire (who goes off!). Gardna stacks up the tracks further with Reminiscence a lyrical look back on his carefree, younger days. His guest vocalist Charli Brix follows Damzel by appearing on another track this month proving how much work she can put in with an appearance on the Sam Binga remix of Want 2 Dance with Emz

Elsewhere we have tracks from local artists like Jay 0117, GUTTR, Knives, Kilaze & Koast and Snazzback. From further afield the likes of Yazmin Lacey, Gorillaz and The Nextmen make up this month’s strong field.
