Although the Survivor Zine is already celebrating its third issue, this is the first time the organisers have been able to hold a launch event. And it’s sure to be quite something: music, comedy, burlesque, poetry, and film are all on the agenda.

Described as “an evening of reclaiming our voices, celebrating survivorship, and strengthening the community,” the event looks set to be forge connections and solidarity and to inspire hope.

It is completely free to attend, with copies of the Survivor Zine on sale throughout the evening. All proceeds will be donated to charities and organisations that support survivors. The event is opening to everyone, “no matter your gender, your story, or where you are with your journey.”

As described on the organisation’s website, “the Survivor Zine UK was created from the desire to give sexual violence survivors a place to share their creativity and thoughts. The zine includes artwork, poetry, essays, interviews, and photography.”

Entry is free.
