Hobtoberfest at Propyard, returns by hop-ular demand for an Oktoberfest celebration, serving up steins of craft beers and ciders from Bristol and beyond’s finest breweries. This time around they are bringing DJ entertainment that should appeal to all tastes.

With a side of bratwurst and an oom-pah band to complete the celebrations, expect classic tunes to pump out throughout the day with a headline DJ set from Bristol’s iconic IDLES. Known for their hardcore, gutsy and raw performances, frontman Joe Talbot will be taking the decks on Saturday 11th November.

Norman Jay entertains the brew crew

For the funk and rare groove fans out there, Norman Jay MBE will be bringing the Good Times vibes on Friday 10th November. Known for his legendary sets at Notting Hill Carnival, clubs & festivals this is an opportunity to enjoy some classic grooves in an intimate setting. Bring your best boogie shoes for this one

The two-day event will feature drinks from the very best of Bristol’s indies, plus breweries from further afield who will be providing unlimited pours, allowing guests to sample each beverage and get the full experience of Hoptoberfest.

For anyone who isn’t a fan of beer (if that’s even a thing?) cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be available over the weekend. I have not been notified about gluten free options at the time of writing but a previous event Hopyard at Propyard saw some of the same brewers attending and a good selection of GF beers available from the likes of Jubel, Electric Bear and Left Handed Giant. I will be definitely sacrificing my weekend for this one and letting you know my favourites afterwards.

Expect delicious draughts also from Arbor Ales, Wiper & True, Lost and Grounded, Fierce & Noble, Brick Brewery, Hackney Church, Bristol Cider Company, Ciderbox, Beyond Belief Brewing, Kicking Goat Cider and Brew By Numbers as well as some mouth watering street food including German bratwurst and schnitzel.

There are three sessions and visitors can either attend Friday’s night session from 6pm – 11pm, Saturday’s day session from 12pm – 5pm, Saturday’s night session from 6pm – 11pm or all three sessions.

Early-bird tickets are now available to purchase for Hoptoberfest on the Propyard website for just £35 plus booking fee. Second release tickets will be £40 plus booking fee. For more information and updates, follow Propyard on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
